TQH Level 3 Diploma in Athletic Development for Gaelic Games
The TQH Level 3 Diploma in Athletic Development for Gaelic Games blends gym instruction principles with sport-specific training, especially for Gaelic Games. This course provides a foundation for designing bespoke exercise programmes for athletes of all ages. Central to the curriculum is the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, equipping trainers to aid athletes in achieving peak performance in Gaelic Games across their athletic lifespan. Training providers are reminded to uphold the high standards set for this qualification.
No specific entry prerequisites are mandated for this qualification.
The learner must complete the eleven mandatory units:
- Understand Athletic Development across
- The Fundamentals Stage of the GAA Player Pathway (6-8 Years)
- Understand Athletic Development in The Learn to Train Stage of the GAA Player Pathway (10 – 12 Years)
- Understand Athletic Development in The Train to Train Stage of the GAA Player Pathway (14 – 16 Years)
- Understand Athletic Development in The Train to Compete Stage of the GAA Player Pathway (17 – 18 Years)
This qualification is assessed by:
